There’s more than just convenience and affordability that factor in when trying to find the right off-campus living solution. Whether new or experienced to signing a lease, Regent wants our students to feel comfortable. That means, reading, researching, and understanding the lease terms. We put the “ease” in lease.

1. Where is Regent?

Regent is a collection of 2 properties named after their respective street. Regent at James located at 136 James Street, St. Catharines, ON L2R 5C4. Regent at Lake located at 51 Lake Street, St. Catharines, ON L2R OB6.

2. How many units are available?

Our James Street building features 53 Units with a total of 210 beds, and our Lake Street building features 67 Units with a total of 258 beds. All bedrooms are approximately the same size.

3. How long is the lease term?

Regent has two 12 month lease terms: May to April of the following year, or September to August of the following year.

4. How many beds/washrooms per unit?

Regent offers 3 different floor plans: 3, 4, and 5 bedroom apartments. All apartment layouts feature 2 shared washrooms with a toilet, sink, and shower in each bathroom. Regent’s 5 bedroom layouts feature an additional ensuite washroom in 1 of the bedrooms (total of 2 common washrooms, 1 private washroom). Please note there are limited ensuite bedrooms available.

5. Is there parking?

The Lake Street building features an underground parking lot with 84 spaces. Parking is subject to additional monthly fees.

The Nitty Gritty

6. Does my bedroom lock?

You’ll get a key fob upon move-in for you to access amenities (fitness centre, study lounge), your apartment door, and your bedroom door (which only you get access to). Locked out? We offer a 24/7 emergency support/lockout line.

7. Who are my roommates?

Room assignments happen when current tenants confirm their renewals and new tenants sign their leases (April and August). Unit assignments are based on roommate requests, preferred building/unit, and year of study/program.

8. Can I be roommates with my friends?

Of course! Roommate requests are given priority while completing room assignments. Please be sure to note your request on your application.

9. Are there shuttles to Brock or groceries?

We offer 2 quick and convenient shuttle services, both of which pick up and drop off at both the James and Lake buildings. One shuttle to Brock University and Niagara College NOTL campus (2 times a day, Mon-Fri) and another shuttle to Wal-Mart and Superstore (every Tues evening).

10. What if I break something in the room?

Please complete an online Maintenance Request form found here. Our Maintenance team will follow up in 24-48 hours to address your request.
